How SFD Implemented DelivApp and Has Grown by 600%

If you live in northern Israel, there’s a good chance you’ve already encountered SFD. SFD couriers move daily between Zichron Yaakov, Binyamina, Pardes Hanna, Or Akiva, Harish, and Hadera.
It’s hard to believe that just over a year ago, everything was run on WhatsApp: photographed receipts, manual assignments, and one-by-one phone calls. That changed when DelivApp entered the process and helped build a centralized system for operations and control.
Without giving too many spoilers, we’ll share just one number: since we started working together, SFD has grown by approximately 600%. The right technology — and the right partnership — made that scale possible.
Before
Manual operations on WhatsApp
Restaurants sent receipts in WhatsApp groups. The dispatch team manually matched deliveries to couriers.
Phone calls and addresses
Couriers copied phone numbers and addresses by hand and called customers without a supporting app.
Partial visibility
Fragmented supervision of couriers and routes, highly sensitive to errors and peak loads.
Cost guesswork
Manual checks using Google Maps and distances. The dispatch team estimated courier payouts and company margins.
After
All operations in one screen
Orders flow directly from POS systems. Courier routes are assigned inside the app.
Real-time visibility into delivery profitability
For every delivery, the system shows how much is charged to the restaurant versus how much is paid to the courier, with pricing and margins visible in real time.
A real leap in scale
Stable daily operations of approximately 1,000 deliveries.
Profitability decisions in seconds
Restaurant charges and courier payouts are visible immediately, allowing pricing decisions without delays.
Why The DelivApp Delivery Management System Was Needed
DelivApp became necessary once it was clear that WhatsApp-based, manual processes could not support growth at scale. SFD needed a single system that could handle high volumes, already operating at around 1,000 deliveries per day with a clear path to 5,000 to 6,000 daily.
“You can’t grow with fragmented operations. WhatsApp simply doesn’t work at scale.”
By connecting directly to restaurant POS systems, orders now flow into one platform instead of arriving as photos and copied messages, reducing errors and operational load. Courier routes are managed inside the app, eliminating constant phone coordination and manual entry of addresses and numbers. The platform provides real-time visibility into delivery profitability, showing restaurant charges versus courier payouts and enabling immediate pricing and margin decisions.
With broad POS coverage across multi-restaurant environments, DelivApp lays the groundwork for further automation, reducing reliance on costly manual dispatch centers, while close partnership and responsive, remote onboarding ensure a fast and smooth transition.
